ALPHABETISATION ° UNESCO has declared 21st February as The International Mother Language Day to be observed globally in recognition of the sacrifices of the Bangla language martyrs who laid their lives for establishing the rightful place of Bangla. The proclamation came in the form of a resolution unanimously adopted at the plenary of the UNESCO at its headquarters in Paris in November 1999. In its resolution the UNESCO said: " 21st February be proclaimed International Mother Language Day throughout the world to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this very day in 1952" FON-YORUBA LANGUAGES a Project of ASSOCIATION CULTURELLE VODOO in Benin Republic 1 – *Alphabetisation, a precious tool for world wide partnership. ¤Alphabetisation plays an important role in the general activities of ASSOCIATION CULTURELLE VODOO It’s a powerful tool in population relationship for the eradication of underdevelopment. It’s an influential tool for human easy communication. 2- *Alphabetisation, a means for self promotion * Alphabetisation in FON and YORUBA will enable tourism partners, researchers and candidates to the school of Vodun knowledge have common data base in their projects. * It will be an easy means of tutoring for our brothers and sister abroad. . 3 – *Alphabetisation, an intra human relationship. ° More than six hundred(600) millions people in Cuba, Brazil, USA, Europe and Africa are interested in Vodun for various reasons.
