He is an octegerian, born in the year 1924 in Come (Republic of Benin).

second world war veterant, he retired in 1986 as senior army fire brigade
officer.

is youthful days, he was a field worker and a preacher in the Metodist church of
is native land.
His mission along is mates was to convert every traditional
native into christianity.
One
day, the most powerful Sakpata chief priest was cought in the Methodist church
net. The new convert volontarily brougt for fire consumption all is Vodun
gadgets Somehow the fire kept on burning for six months. Surprised, young Martin
decided to find out why. He took away from the fire, the big talisman worn by
the new convert during his hey days. He opened the objet, found neatly arranged
21 different fresh leaves wrapped in rainbow coulour pieces of native cloth.
The
discovery sparked a sense of curiosity and revolt in preacher Martin. He regreted ever being part of the eradication of his land rich tradition.

priests in Benin Republic today.
